The nursing assistant class was approved by the Arkansas Office of Long Term Care. In 1994 a Satellite school was opened in Hot Springs. The school was incorporated in 1996 as Petra Allied Health, Inc. Other programs began to be offered in 1998, and in 1999 a second satellite school in Fort Smith, Arkansas was opened. As of 2006, Petra has graduated over 15 thousand students and is Arkansas’ leader in allied health education.
